Why Vitamix blender truly is the best?

I definitely belong to the cannot-live-without-a-blender- group and the topic about why Vitamix is so expensive and IS it really the best, pops up frequently. Therefore, I just had to dig into Vitamix-world so here we go!

Vitamix 5200 Blender Professional-Grade, Self-Cleaning 64 oz Container

The Vitamix, I've learned, is the earliest example of a Super-Powerful Blender. There are other brands now obviously, but Vitamix seems to be the Trailblazer blender.

It's The Workhorse, The Beast of the Kitchen, the Big Sturdy one. It’s also a favorite in many (if not most) professional kitchens and juice bars.

And yes, Vitamix is an investment. These blenders are built to last, helping you to buy a dependable and durable one, not a disposable one.

*Automatic Shut-Off function

Built to last

In various tests, Vitamix blenders have always performed the best overall. Featuring strong horsepower motors (up to 3.5 HP), they are a lot more powerful than the competitors out there. Vitamix 5200 has a 2 HP (1480watts) motor.

- The blades are made from high-quality material- stainless steel, aircraft- grade (how cool, eh!) by the way, which are not only sharp, but also super durable. They won’t easily dull over time, even with regular use.

- If the motor burns out within the full seven-year warranty period, Vitamix will promptly replace the machine. And, there is a 3-year extension that’s available for purchase separately. Hence, you can expect at least a decade of performance and reliability out of your Vitamix 5200 blender.

- Their containers are BPA-free (made from a material called the Eastman Tritan copolyester) so you need not to worry about harmful toxins getting into your food. Containers are available in various sizes such as 16-,20-,32-, and 64-ounce, suiting all individual needs.

- It doesn’t have any preset buttons, but it does offer the widest range of speeds out of any brand that has been tested.

- The size and shape of the 64-ounce container is ideal for blending medium to large batches.

- It has a Radial cooling fan and Thermal protection system.

Versatility

Just to give a few examples of what this Super thang is capable of:

- Blends, purees, grinds and chops. Grains for example - there's nothing like pancakes made from fresh-ground flour, right? Think wheat, rice, millet and other home grained flours. Lovely!

- Frozen fruit, ice cubes, chunks of veggies, etc., you name it. The power of the motor also has interesting effects => the ability to crush ice, make ice cream and sorbet, purée vegetables into hot soup, and grind and process other hard items such as grains and even bones. I'm not actually aware of any other brand that is as versatile as this machine.

- Nut butters. Many dedicated users say that the classic Vitamix 5200 is the only one that can make creamy peanut butter and puree soup without spewing molten liquid up the sides of the jar. And anyone who has tried making nut butter without a proper blender, my gosh..... A right nightmare, kinda like 'gonna rip my hair out in a minute!!!!!'- thing. Not recommended. Personal experience there. Heh.

- The blade's design and high-speed motor extract nutrients in a way compatible with a juicer. The texture of the juice is different though as Vitamix does not extract the pulp. It rather makes vegetable and fruit juices straight from vegetables and fruits.

- It has an overload safety function which enables the motor to automatically shut down so as to prevent circuit damage when the machine runs for too long or is straining too much.

- It has a dial that lets you control the motor’s 10 speeds and a mode switch between High and Variable option (the blender doesn’t have a pulse function). While High setting comes in handy for most drink recipes, Variable is the lower-power mode to use when you want some chunky bits in your salsa.

- Has a spill-proof rubber lid that fits tightly onto the top of the pitcher. And in the middle of the lid is a drop-in hole. It lets you add ingredients mid-session and allows the tamper to go through and push the contents down when needed.

The Disadvantages:

- Price may obviously put someone off, but as I mentioned earlier on Vitamix is an investment. This Super Beast Machine won't disappoint.

- It’s rather tall (20.5″), and it may not fit on the counter under an upper cabinet like a standard blender.

Though, remember that you can order your Vitamix blenders with whichever size container you’d like—another testimony to their commitment to versatility.

- The carafe doesn't come in glass or ceramic form. Some just would not buy anything plastic, even if it is BPA-free.

- While the carafe of some newer models of Vitamix blenders (S-Series 20-ounce and 40-ounce) are dishwasher safe, to prolong the blender’s life, it's NOT recommended running it through the dishwasher.

- BUT, this one has a Self-Cleaning-option: With a drop of dish soap and warm water, your Vitamix machine can clean itself in 30 to 60 seconds. You just press the self-cleaning setting button and let the machine clean itself. It really is as simple as that!

Damn, what about the washing- bit then? Do not fret darling! Here's a cool tip that will definitely save you some time and help you to quickly and easily clean your blender carafe:

Step 1: After emptying out your Vitamix container, do a quick rinse. Then, simply fill the container halfway with hot water, add 2 small drops of dish soap, snap on the lid, and place it back on the Vitamix base.

Step 2: Next, turn your 5200 on to the lowest “Variable” setting.

Step 3: Work the speed up to 10, then flip the switch to “High".

Step 4: Allow your blender to run for about a minute, then switch it off.

Voíla, that’s all there is to it! Your Vitamix container is clean and ready to rinse and dry!

I want one NOW!: https://amzn.to/390SfC5
